Great location and what a view!
This condo is a great find. I’d stayed in the bldg. before and liked the location. The Seashore is just one block from the beach. Other places say they are “one block,” but are really two or three. But this really is one block. I was in 86a, a corner unit, with an even better view. I knew the room was going to be small; I’d stayed in the bldg. before and knew what the larger rooms were like so I tried to imagine what this would be like. It was actually bigger than I thought it would be, which was nice. It’s fine for one. Not sure about two, as there isn’t much room to store luggage. And the bed’s against the wall, so one of you would have to sleep w/their head against the wall and that’s an issue for some people. The unit is very well stocked. All kinds of utensils and pots and pans if you’re ambitious and want to cook. I wasn’t; I didn’t even use the coffeemaker. Why bother when you can walk across the street and get a cup of coffee at the ABC Store for $1? (don’t forget to get a coffee card; buy 8 and get 1 free). The fridge is on the lanai in a little shed, which also has some beach toys and beach chairs; very useful! Plus a table and chairs so you can sit out there and look at the ocean. Very pleasant for breakfast, or drinks later in the day. Lots of towels, and other things, like a cooler, and an iron, all tucked away in the drawers and cupboard. It’s a quiet bldg.; the only time I heard people was when I was on the lanai and someone else was there. But you don’t hear people walking around upstairs. The streets can be noisy, lots of traffic with tour buses and delivery trucks. I always travel w/earplugs. The Seashore is about in the middle of Waikiki. Most sites in the area are a short walk away. The grocery store, the Food Pantry, on Kuhio, is about a five minute walk away. The bus stop is also on Kuhio. There is no parking here, but if you’re not staying more than a week, you probably won’t need to rent a car. Or you could just rent one for a few days; plenty of places to do so. I did have trouble getting the wifi to work. Maurie was quick to respond and help. It was good to know he was so accessible. He’s very responsive, which is a bonus when an owner isn’t onsite. I’d definitely stay here again.
