Delightful house near a beach
We only stayed here for two nights as we were traveling to another island. Although short, we really enjoyed our stay. Crystal was welcoming and her family was delightful. Sitting on the porch, we felt a part of the neighborhood. We did not cook much, but the kitchen seemed to be well equipped and we found everything we needed. It seemed that they have tried to anticipate anything visitors would need and had it there. Everything was clean and neat. The bedrooms were small, but were comfortable for our group of four adults and the living area was modest, but nice. There was a lovely beach just down the street. We did not see many nearby restaurants in our comings and goings, but there were several of the owner’s favorite restaurants listed in the guest guide provided, so I am sure they were nearby and we just did not look for them. There was a McDonald’s down the street where we grabbed breakfast one morning. We were visiting Oahu primarily to visit Pear Harbor, but we did drive around the island before leaving and saw some beautiful sites and beaches. A highlight for us was attending Mass at St. Rita Catholic Church, just a mile or so down the road. We found the congregation there to be amazing, and extremely joyful and welcoming. Overall, if you want the luxury hotel experience, this is not your place to stay. But, if you want to feel a part of the community and enjoy a peaceful, laid back visit, this is a great place to stay.
