Awesome Setting and Great Home
If you love being on the water this is the place for you. Once I got to this house I wanted to stay forever. The lake views, the sunsets, the water activities, and the views of the Adirondack mountains to the West all contributed to a wonderful week for me and my family of 5. (3 adult "kids") The house is well equipped and worked well for a number of reasons: Bedrooms are on 3 different levels so there is some privacy and it isn't necessary for everyone to go to sleep at the same time. While this home is nicely decorated, it isn't packed with personal stuff of the owners, so that when we brought in our books and games it didn't feel over-crowded. The main floor has a few areas to hang out in...living room with lots of seating and large TV; dining area, and a smaller area with a loveseat closest to the lake. The kitchen was well equipped for the dinners that we prepared. Kelly, the owner, was pleasant to work with and the house was cleaned professionally before we arrived. If you enjoy riding bikes this home is just off one of the top bike paths in the country, the Lake Champlain Byway. It's a short ride to the four mile stretch that extends out into the middle of Lake Champlain. Stunning! Take the Island Line Bike Ferry and visit the winery on South Hero :) We also enjoyed: hiking, kayaking, dining in Burlington, and visiting Stowe, Shelburne Farms, and The University of Vermont. I could have easily stayed for two weeks, and I would love to go back soon!
Stunning lake house: You can't get any closer to Lake Champlain!
