A great escape from the city
Winters Camp is a perfect getaway for our family. Only a little over 2 hours from SF, we felt a million miles away. This cabin was comfortable and well-decorated with literally everything we needed. We spent most of our time on the amazing deck (with redwood trees literally growing through it) lounging, playing board games, reading, or grilling on the Weber. Kitchen was well-stocked (Owners are foodies). Our 4-year old loved sleeping on the bunk beds (the LED reading lights were a hit) and running around on the huge deck. One night was warm enough that we all hung outside star watching and the second night was cool so we watched a family movie together inside. Fresh, clean linens & an abundance of pillows made it feel just enough like a nice hotel. We loved the decor that balanced just enough modern with cozy. Downtown was modest & adorable (attended the annual Dog Parade) yet has a gourmet grocery store where you can find things like fresh fish and gluten-free beer. We had a great time at the lake too. Oh, and you can pretty much walk everywhere. Coffee shop, miniature golf, and a great local restaurant, The a Rock, is literally right around the corner. We had an amazing time and will most definitely be back!
