Clean rental, difficult to find at night
Arrive BEFORE dark on your first day here. The other reviews are accurate that Google maps gets you relatively close but does not take you to the property. The homeowner will give you an intersection to put into your GPS that will get you closer however, there are no lights in the area and the house number is not lit up in any way. We got out with flashlights and walked around to find the property. It would be nice if the home owner had some solar garden lights in front of the street address sign and at the driveway entrance. Once we found the property, again because it was dark, we had trouble getting into the property. Also, the property is on an unpaved and rutty road. Inside, we found the house to be clean, the linens clean, beds comfortable, and a good shower. We saw beautiful sunrises every morning from the front yard. It took about 45 min get to "intersection rock" inside Joshua Tree each morning from the property. Things that didn't affect our stay but might bother some people: It does appear that they either stopped prior to finishing the property or they aren't finished yet. There Is drywall missing above the bathroom cabinet, the carpet upstairs is not actually installed, there are circles were the lights are to me moved or were relocated and it looks like a kid painted the house (sloppy work). Like I said, these didn't affect our stay, it just looks odd. The owner is easy to contact and quick to respond. We would stay here again.
