Pretty much as advertised.
The property is pretty much as advertised. The best part of the property is the back yard, small but very nice. Many extra pillows, blankets and towels were a nice touch. Was very clean. However, on the negative side. Ad says cable/satellite. This is true, however the total number of channels available were at the bare minimum. There were the broadcast networks, several Spanish stations, the weather channel and maybe two or three other cable channels. The owner should pay for a decent selection similar to what a hotel would have available. The wireless internet would constantly go out every couple hours and would have to be unplugged to reset. The router and/or modem should be updated. The beds consist of very thin mattresses on springs. They are noisy and not very comfortable. They should be updated to full size mattresses and box springs. One of the neighbors had numerous cars pulling up and quickly leaving at times. Draw your own conclusions. There is an instruction booklet to read upon rental. I found it somewhat condescending. For example it warns that parties are not allowed and if there is a party the neighbors will call her to tell her. We are not high school students home alone while the parents are out of town. I do not expect to be treated as such. That was in addition to numerous statements of you must do this or must not do that. They should really rewrite the booklet to make polite requests instead of demands and threats of not returning a deposit. As a vacation renter I want to feel appreciated and not like I am an intruder in someone's house which is what the booklet makes you feel like. Overall, the home was just fine and ok. If the owner updates the items indicated, other than the neighbor's visitors which likely need police action, then the house would easily go to four stars and would be recommended.
