Outstanding Tucson Oasis near UofA
This was a great spot to visit our son at the UofA and enjoy Tucson and loved the pool. We arrived late at night to a home cooled by the AC and ready for bed. A quick tour of the place showed everything in its place, tidy, clean, like staying at a Marriott with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a full kitchen and a private pool in a fenced backyard!! Ahhh, the Sealy mattress in the master was perfect... not too firm, not too soft and felt brand new with no lumps or softened spots. Had a great night sleep with a gentle breeze from the overhead fan quietly circulating air. Next morning discovered the kitchen was completely stocked with the full cadre of pots, pans, utensils, etc to make the stop at the local grocery store a food only purchase (although we did buy aluminum foil only to discover it was also in the cupboard so now there are 2 rolls!). The AC kicked in around 8 AM and kept the interior comfortable all day even in the record heatwave what hit 115. We the highlight was using the pool with our playful dogs that LOVE to swim. Every morning after their breakfast had settled before the heat was in full blaze, we got out the float toys and played dive/retrieve for over an hour until they were exhausted, then dried them (we brought towels for this but the house was stocked with an abundance of its own) then they quietly rested the rest of the day. With ROKU set-up we were able to log on to our Netflix, Amazon, Hulu accounts to catch a movie or 2 in the evenings too. Our son stayed with us (student at UofA) which offered a great retreat and break from campus life... and thankfully the home was well stocked with amenities so he could brush his teeth (toothbrush and toothpaste stocked) shave (razor and shaving cream stocked) and bandage a small bite (first aid kit) all stocked in the hall closet for emergency use. No need to run to the store, just a modest fair price settled at trips conclusion. Sean was a great host, very responsive to any call or text, pinged every few days to make sure all was well. Highly recommend this place if you want a central location, close to UofA, enjoy a pool, cooking your own meals, enjoying Tucson, and if you have fully house trained dogs that love to swim, this will be paradise. Noticed there is a fireplace that might be welcomed for a few nights in January.... in June it was not terribly needed! We might have to come back in January to try that out!
