Great lake house for a perfect summer vacation
We had a great time at the house. Rick was very responsive to all our emails. The reservation process was easy and he sent welcome information way in advance. The house was clean and ready for us when we got there- no issues at all. The dock is fantastic- its a trex-like material, not metal or wood that could splinter. We thought this was a huge plus- most homes on the lake we saw (just driving around) did not have the same material. It made a huge difference. Boats can easily tie to the dock and its perfect for jumping off. (at least 6+ feet off the end) There is also a shallow area to get in the lake. We also loved the deck area just off the water- it was perfect for sitting and doing nothing. *We advise bringing a sport tent/canopy as there is no shade there. The morning sun can make it a little hot- shade would have been great. The location is really good- its off the main roads but close enough to do things. A few notes for future guests. The house sleeps 6 and there are 6 chairs to eat outside. But there is only a small table inside and 4 stools. It made dinners on the couple rainy days a little tough. We made it work- but come prepared. Washer and dryer were key. No dishwasher or disposal wasn't fantastic- but again- you make it work. We had a really fun time and would absolutely look to stay again. It was a lot of fun to get up and get in the lake before breakfast, fish for a bit, canoe around, then be lazy, and do it all again. There were a few things that we'd adjust for next time, but they were small. We'll very much miss the incredible view, loons, and water.
