The house is cute, secluded and has most of what I look for in a home away from home.
That said, in the winter, the house can get quite cold and damp. There is a wood stove for heating but it takes hours to warm the whole house. We din't learn about the portable electric heater until like day 5 of our stay. My biggest comment is that the house needs a welcome sheet with essential info on it. Example: I couldn't figure out how to switch on the shower. Easy enough when told how but in 50 years of travel and 40 years of home ownership, I had never seen this type of faucet switch before. Another thing would be to put the wireless access password on the fact sheet. AND, how to reset the smoke alarm if it goes off. I figured this out, but many might not. The smoke alrm went off because the previous occupant apparently got some grease on the electric stove's burner. So, that's about it. I enjoyed our stay but some better info going in is a real need.
