Vintage, good access from car to room, charming cottage style, in good neighborhood.
I would stay again, the only 2 things- if you are staying for a while there were not many kitchen utensils ie: no wine glasses! And the 2nd: they were remodeling next door and that created some really strong fumes from enameling the tub, so strong we left the room for a couple hours. He got a fan in the next room and later the fumes were gone. The Manager was so kind, as were all the folks there! He brought us a bottle of very nice wine and apologized. Great location, in an eclectic charming higher end neighborhood. It's a very simple one bedroom, but is has its own private little yard and covered parking. I'd much rather stay here than some huge impersonal hotel that would charge more. The interior was clean but the paint was not well done and the tile in the shower floor were cracked and tired. That's what a 50's place is...so if you're picky about those things, you may have an issue, however they have a great Ikea decor, beds was really comfy, and the style is very charming. Since our stay was in winter and the heater was good, I can't say if the cooling is sufficient which is crucial in Phoenix? We stayed 2 days and I thought this was a very good value for the price. I loved that the covered parking was close to the room and everything was all one level!
Hollyhock #3 Great Location!
