Peaceful, serene, relaxing.
Driving up to the property is like discovering a hidden magical kingdom. Truly, it is so beautiful. The owner Rain has put a lot of time and love into the pond and gardens! The apartment is up a flight of stairs over the workshop (the owner lives in another house on the property) and there is another long-term rental apartment on the first floor in the back. It has a wonderful cabin-y, treehouse-y feel inside. I didn't get an address for the property until the day I was due to arrive, but Rain took the initiative to text me that morning and was incredibly prompt with responses that morning and during my whole stay. She even offer to come get me from the ferry (I had my own car so didn't need that, but nice!) She's very sweet! Wifi worked great as long as I switched to the 5G option. I would have liked to see a sign up when I arrived to know where to go or where to park, but the answer is park anywhere by the building by the pond, and text Rain and she'll come running :-) My only complaint was that I found the bed a little too soft, but I know that is a personal preference. But if a squishy bed hurts your back, just a heads up. I would certainly recommend this place! It made for a perfect writing retreat for me, and gave me easy access (about ten minute drives) to beautiful parks and any facilities I needed (like grocery stores).
