Great Fourth of July Weekend!!!
We truly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The location was great for us--not too close to the "buzz" of the city (especially during an extremely crowded weekend like this), but not so far away that you feel deserted. The Village--about a 5 minute drive; major grocery stores--10 min, although there's a mini-market just a minute down the road; only a few minutes to recreation areas, such as the Alpine Slides and Boulder Bay; there is a marina area just a short walk down the street and the neighboring residential area made for nice evening walks. The condo complex was very easy to find, and there was adequate parking for both of our vehicles, as stated. The pass code to enter the condo was text to me the day prior to arrival and a phone call from the owner followed a short time later to make sure I received it. Access to the condo was very easy. The condo itself was very clean. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with dinner and silverware, all major cooking supplies & utensils, serving dishes, appliances, etc. There was nothing I felt I was missing. The BBQ worked well and we enjoyed the great weather while dining and relaxing on the patio. The sleeping accommodations were great for our family of six-- 3 adults + 3 kids (ages 16, 7, 7). My husband and I slept comfortably in the upstairs master. My 7-year old twins slept in the other upstairs bedroom with the full-on-full bunk beds. We had to flip a coin to decide who would get the top bunk on the first night, and they alternated from there. If you asked them, they would probably say the bunk beds were the best part of the trip! That, and the fact they had a TV in the bedroom to watch cartoons in the morning when they woke up (that was a BIG deal to them considering there is no TV in there room back at home!) The downstairs bedroom was perfect for my mom (who doesn't get up stairs easily) and my older daughter (who likes to sleep in). The extra door separating the entry/downstairs bedroom was nice in keeping that area quiet in the morning from the rest of the main living space. The only item I must mention for improvement is fixing the carpet tacks/staples that protrude upwards at the carpet margins downstairs--the entryway and kitchen. This also includes some of the small nails in the dividing thresholds that protrude. We respected your request to remove our shoes in the house, but my children and I all pricked our feet on these areas. This should really be fixed.
