This is a bedroom in a 3 bedroom apartment that may or may not have permanent leasers. The property manager is very nice and friendly and helped us find the location through the surrounding campus construction projects, as well as provide some chocolates. The apartment was hot and humid, no AC and very limited windows in the living area. Tile floors were constantly moist, which explains the 3 foot round patch of multi-colored mold growing in the bedroom I rented. It was growing between the bed's comforter and the adjacent wall. The bed was very old and squeaky with no sheet only fitted mattress cover and hodgepodge of pillows. There were two large windows and a ceiling fan, but the windows were feet away from a very busy McDonald's drive thru and garbage dumpster, which is frequented by employees all through the night, slamming the top cover with every deposit of trash. The residents of the apartment were startled when my fiancé and I made our first appearance at 11pm on a Friday night. 2 college aged guys were on the couch shirtless as we unlocked the front door and entered, their jaw dropped at the appreance of their new house guests and I surmise that they were unaware of our stay. I greeted them and told them our names and said we were staying in a bedroom for 2 nights, they nodded and we shuffled off to our room, I was unsure if they fully understood what had just happened. It was comicCON weekend and we were there for a concert, otherwise we would have found other accommodations with less mold and sweaty dudes. Night 2 was better as the temperatures were cooler, we seemed to scare our roommates off and we stayed out until 2am so coming back to this location just to sleep seemed more bearable. The next morning we were greeted by a giant cockroach on the wall of the bedroom, I killed it and we left.
