Idyllic VT getaway for relaxation and outdoor activities
We were fortunate to stay in Cynthia and Phillip's cabin for a week. It is an absolutely charming, bright, modern cottage tucked away in the woods off a dirt road---perfect for relaxing in the beautiful, peaceful surroundings and easy access to outdoor activities. We loved the open layout, bright windows (from which we could see the autumn foliage), functional kitchen, decent sized modern bathroom with large glass shower, outdoor space (patio w/ chairs as well as a firepit and picnic table/bench), and the privacy. It wasn't too far from some nice hikes (Camel's Hump, Mt. Pisgah/Hor, Stowe Pinnacle, Mt. Hunger, etc). We also enjoyed kayaking in the pond on the property. Cynthia and Phil were gracious hosts---making sure we had everything we needed but non-intrusive. We also appreciated that the kitchen/fridge was stocked with basics (i.e. milk, eggs, bread, juice, flour, tea, coffee, oil, etc). There are plans underway to replace the ladder to the loft bedroom with a staircase, which will make the property suitable for families w/ a young child or others that may find it difficult to climb a ladder. We recommend this property without hesitation and are looking forward to return soon!
