We were delighted by this home. Our "siblings' long weekend" was easily facilitated by the available space for group discussions and individual contemplation. Having two on-suites allows for ultimate privacy for each couple, and the half bath downstairs is simply icing on the cake. I sense that most vacationing families regularly eat out - we, however, choose to make family meals. It was a welcome surprise to see basic, often-forgotten provisions in the cupboard. The kitchen is adequately equipped with cookware, but more drinking glasses would be appreciated. Hidden behind appliance garages are a microwave, toaster, and coffeepot. Avoid Ram's Head Tavern. At the time of this writing, there were serious issues in the kitchen - my meal and a meal from the table behind us were returned, and both times our waiter was required to request permission of the manager in order to correct the problems. The crab meat isn't fresh - it is frozen, and its country of origin is Mexico. Imagine - seafood from Mexico in an establishment blocks from the Chesapeake Bay! I didn't bother inquiring about where they sourced their prawns. Don't pass up Ruth & Chick's! Americana at its finest. Every morning, everything stops for the Pledge of Allegiance. Typical diner fare, as well as spectacular donuts and pies. This home is within walking distance of the Naval Academy (where picture ID is required for entrance), the harbor, and multiple dining establishments. Parking is tight in all the residential areas. If possible, bring only one car; otherwise, use a parking garage for storage of other vehicles. BWI is an easy highway drive and a mere 30-45 minutes away! Without reservation, we would recommend this home for two couples. We hope to return in the fall of 2017 so we can enjoy the change of leaves.
