Fantastic host, Uncomfortable location
Would have been 5 stars if it were in a different location. Denise is a fantastic host and the house is exactly like you see it in the photos. House was stocked with all necessities and in-fact Denise left a home-made banana bread and breakfast juice. Was perfect since our flight got in late and we drove for over 90 minutes to get here. The cork-board had all of the critical info about the area and "Doris and Roger's Kitchen" was a great suggestion for eating nearby. The area is very rural and that means lots of trucks moving farm goods at all times of the day and night... and they did. The most unfortunate part is that the house is 12 feet from the road... and we felt every truck rumble by all night long. This was very disappointing since the house was in such good shape, clean and welcoming. Last, and this isn't probably important to everyone, but I had planned to work from the house one of the days we stayed and the internet connection really made that almost impossible. Yes, the house has "wifi", but the internet connection was just barely faster than modems from 1999. My laptop registered 1 Mbps (yes, that *is* a one). Not a critical requirement for the house, but really that shouldn't be advertised as wireless broadband internet connectivity...
