What an elegant cottage with opportunities to do many things. I was so impressed with the white table cloth on the dining table, the china, bedding that was so luxurious and comfy and the cleanliness. I even took a "bath" and not just a shower it was so clean. The Jacuzzi was warm and inviting, the fire pit gave us evenings of warmth, relaxation, s'mores and the deck over the lake was a serene place to sit to have my morning cup of tea. Thank you for having spices, foil, etc. available so I didn't have to drag it all with me or run to the grocery store to buy it and then leave it or throw it out. If I had known you had shampoo, condition and soap I wouldn't have brought that either. :) It is a bit of a way from the mail road but the drive is so lovely any time of day and especially beautiful at sunset. We photographed many flowers along the road. There were movies to watch, games to play or just have time to sit and look out the large windows that overlook the lake. Some nights we had to put the heater on for a short while to warm us up and it didn't take long. Some nights we slept under all the covers with the windows open. Ahhhh, fresh air. We saw two black bears, deer, fox but no moose. Darn. We were hoping to see Bullwinkle. It was a great learning vacation for my granddaughter. She found a lot of differences from the USA and could hardly wait to tell all of her friends about it. We went to Quimet Canyon, Kakabeka Falls, Fort William, mined amethysts (my granddaughter left you a gift), walked the roads, visited with relatives and actually spent a day at the cottage and just enjoyed the amenities. We walked to the lodge one evening and had dinner with Cathy. Great place. Thank you for such a lovely home away from home. I hope some day to come back and we will absolutely recommend Falcon Ridge to friends and family. I could write a book on our time there it was so wonderful.
