I am from pahoa and have family in the area so this location was perfect. Its At the top of nanawale so you don't have to drive far down a subdivision like most never-ending neighborhoods on island. The house was well kept and the owners were kind enough to put the lights on for me as I arrived late. It is a private home which I liked and the description was accurate and had almost everything I needed. The selling point for me was another guests review stating privacy. Some travelers may like getting to know owners or neighbors etc but I like my privacy and these owners were completely helpful and respectful of that. The queen bed was the most comfy bed I've ever slept on and it is a home for families for sure. I was surprised by the kids books and games, very family oriented and a nice touch. My niece was learning to read so I spent time with her with books I remember reading as a kid. The outside picnic table and grill were selling points too. Make sure to pick up charcoal! Quiet street with few neighbors, no loud barking dogs or chickens, just coqui frogs. There is an abundance of edible native ferns in the backyard, adding good omen to the property. The only thing that bothered me was the gap in the screen door , but if you keep the door shut you'll be fine. All in all I was happy with this rental, it's supplies, location, condition and upkeep and would definitely recommend this unit. Thank you for sharing you home nestor and lucena!
