A Craftsman for all ages
For two weeks in mid-July, our 4-generation family of 6, ranging in age from 95 to 3, enjoyed staying in this Adams Avenue neighborhood cottage while visiting our son’s family who live in La Mesa. We needed 3 bedrooms and 2 baths [a bit difficult to find in SD at a moderate price] and host Ed’s up-dated bungalow worked very well. A quiet walkable classic SD neighborhood location worked well for several ‘round-the-block’ walks with various family members to enjoy the varied home architecture, to exercise and use-up youthful energy and, every morning to walk the two short blocks to Twiggs bakery for great coffee, cinnamon rolls and a smile. At the end of the two weeks we felt like natives. The location, close to the edge of the mesa, worked well to assure that the ocean breezes kept us comfortable---and the close/convenient proximity to I-8 or I-805 ramps gave us easy access to travel any of the 4 freeway directions. Hint: there is also a 10-minute ‘no-freeway-route’ to Balboa Park and the Zoo; just take Adams West to Park, and turn South on Park. Beds and baths were very comfortable/convenient, the kitchen was fully-equipped , the full-size washer and dryer worked well and the cable/internet connections were robust. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
