Long story short - Don't stay here!
To be fair, we didn't stay at this particular property because when we were 12 hours away (driving), the manager called me to tell me the house had flooded and she had gotten us another house in the area. We thought, well that sucks, but at least she helped take care of it. Well, the house we ended up in had all kinds of problems and we had to reach out to her multiple times to finally get a response or even just to get a maintenance guy over to the house to take a look. A few problems we encountered: - there were multiple open electrical sockets in the house - there was some old items left behind, including a used razor in one of the bathrooms, which we had paid a large cleaning fee and clearly they didn't do their job. - the hand rail as you walk into the house was falling out of the wall - the pots/pans in the kitchen had all the Teflon peeling off, which is dangerous to ingest. - the oven didn't work (thankfully the stove did at least) - there wasn't a grill at the house we ended up at, when we were expecting one at the original house, they did end up bringing us a grill, but at 10pm on our second night there (we were only staying for 3 nights)...we had to eat out for 2 meals that we weren't expecting to eat out for because they couldn't repair the oven during our stay. We had a group of 9, so it's not an easy thing to plan sometimes. Our biggest problem wasn't even all of these issues with the house, it was the manager's communication with us, or lack there of. She was so hard to get a hold of, and she would have never reached out to us to make sure everything was ok with the new house if we didn't keep trying to tell her all the issues that we were having. She might be great to rent from if there are absolutely no issues, but I wouldn't waste my time if I were you. We also were pursuing a refund for the price difference and our security deposit. We were also trying to get more money back for all the incredible inconveniences, and terrible service she provided. Well, needless to say, we had to report her to Homeaway in order to actually get our money back, which still took almost 3 months after we returned. We were only able to get the security deposit and the small price difference back from the house prices, but no acknowledgement whatsoever of our horrible experience.
