Fine condo, close to lifts, with everything you need, except...
This Chamonix condo fit our needs nearly to perfection. It is quaintly and rustically decorated, has a well-equipped kitchen (though could use a proper rimmed cookie sheet or large roasting pan), and is nicely furnished. It is a 5 minute walk to the Canyon Lodge lifts, and the free shuttle bus that takes you wherever you want to go. Four five gentlemen who take an annual ski trip together, it was almost perfect. The exception has to do with the loft / bedroom. They have crammed two queen-sized bunk beds into a tiny loft, leaving almost no room even to stand up. The bunks are so low that you can't even sit up straight in the lower bunk. Two of us shared that space (meaning two beds), and there was hardly room to turn around. I can't imagine four (or even eight) people sleeping in those four beds. Given that the loft would normally open onto a nice balcony, it seems a real waste of an otherwise bright and airy space. Take out one of those bunks and the place would have been perfect.
