Maggy's Place - Wonderful Experience
My father and I stayed at Maggy’s house for a weekend getaway in January. We found it on line and we were intrigued by its recent restoration and history as an E&A railroad office in downtown Elkin NC. The house is located at the end of a block that is within walking distance to many coffee shops, restaurants and bars. It has been beautifully renovated inside and outside and has a large patio area for dining and gathering with friends. The owners of this home have thought of every detail – there is a mixture of classic antique furniture along with a well-equipped kitchen with new cabinets and granite counter-tops.The entire house feels so cozy with wooden walls and hardwood floors throughout. The queen bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable and the Pulman sofa in the parlor will accommodate a few children or adults. I would highly recommend Maggy’s Place as “the place” to stay in downtown Elkin. I plan to go back in the spring with my husband to explore the Yadkin Valley wineries and I look forward to a retreat to Maggy’s Place at the end of the day.
