Great, clean, comfortable place to stay in a semi-funky part of town
The Bohemian Grand was a clean, spacious, and comfortable mini-suite for our 5 night stay. We didn't participate in the common areas, but it's clear that the staff work hard to keep the house nice for their guests. We did not do much exploring as we were passing through town while working remotely. We used wireless Internet and worked both from our room (Bohemian Grand), and at the library which is half a block away. the wireless in the Bohemian Grand got about 5 Meg down, and worked well with our laptops, but was somewhat spotty when used from our phones for streaming. I found the king sized bed to be a bit unyielding, but my wife (who hates very firm beds) liked it. The house has signs advertising external security cameras, presumably due to the homeless population which are often passing by and sometimes loitering. The homeless were friendly, didn't bother anything, and often said good morning. We were able to park our car at the curb in front of the house, within view from our room windows. The language of the VRBO arrival and access instructions were unclear - although both keypad codes are mentioned in conjunction with the front door, the first is for the residence and the second is for your room - thanks to the staff at Redwood Coast Vacation Rentals for helping to sort this out. Thank you to Samantha and all, for a great place to stay.
