Peaceful and beautiful, yet fun for the whole family
We spent 3 nights at Big Elkin Creek Farm. There were 3 adults and 3 kids ages,16, 13, & 11. As soon as we arrived we were in awe of the farm. As we drove down the gravel driveway and saw the cabin sitting on the hill our kids were super excited. We all explored the cabin and was so impressed with the decorations and the attention to detail. I cooked in the kitchen and had everything I needed just like my own home. I especially loved the tin plates, cups and bowls! My kids enjoyed the farm and, of course, their favorite thing to do was swim in the pond for hours. If you're looking for a place to unplug and unwind, this is it. Stone Mountain and the Blue Ridge Pkwy are about 20 minutes and there is also an Amish store to buy fresh baked bread about 20 minutes, also. Elkin and the surrounding areas are some of the most beautiful places we've been. You won't be sorry you booked the pioneer cabin at Big Elkin Creek Farm. The property manager answered all our questions and went out of the way to make us feel at home. I'm already planning our next trip, maybe in the winter!
