Quaint A-Frame with a Modern Touch
My wife and I live in Seattle and wanted a easy weekend getaway, so we booked this place and it worked out great! We chose to drive up and around (near Anacortes) so we could hike around Deception Pass, Ebey's Landing, and Fort Casey on our way - recommended. Finding the property wasn't too bad, although our AT&T phones lost service about 15 minutes before we got there, so I'm glad the map was already loaded. There were several turns to make off the main highway so definitely have directions ready. We got there well after dark and the property isn't really visible from the street, so we went past it initially before we found the dark little driveway (the mailbox with the address on it is closer to the neighbor's driveway). The place was nice and cozy once we found all the lights and got the fire going in the stove. There were some split logs and paper inside ready for us, but I failed to notice the other logs and kindling on the porch when we came in (it was dark and there weren't any lights on initially). So it took me a while to get a log to light without kindling - my mistake, but now future guests know to look on the porch! The kitchen was newely redone and looked well stocked to do some cooking - although we didn't take advantage of this. The rest of the place was clean and cabin-esque. There was a note with some information about the place and it also said the owner (Kirstin) has plans to do some more updates, so I'm sure the next time will be even better! We had a great time and would highly recommend the trip.
