Wonderful way to disconnect, be in the mountains.
Richard was extremely helpful and he was available for contact if needed. I thought the property was really neat and the area is very secluded. This is definitely a great way to disconnect from life for a few days. However, if you can't live without wifi for the weekend, it was nice to have that available. The cabin has a deck with a cover, a full kitchen, a nice bathroom and a bedroom on the back end. It's really perfect for two people. There is Dish available to watch, there was a storm one night and we didn't even lose satellite service. The best part of this place is definitely the seclusion, the deck (grill), and the location. You are a stone's throw from the Blue Ridge Parkway and a 25 minute drive from Boone NC. Just some constructive criticism of the place: Note to those coffee drinkers, bring your own coffee. The kitchen has filters and a maker, but no coffee, and it is a 20 minute drive to a grocery story. The couch is pretty bad. The cabin has a "lodge-esque" feel to it, but the couch doesn't make you want to spend too much time in the living room. The decor doesn't really have a theme and is pretty random and odd, but if you don't care about that, carry on. There is one AC unit in the cabin, which is not relevant for 3/4 of the year, but we are in the 1/4 of the year when it gets pretty muggy in the Carolina's. An AC unit in the bedroom, or a floor base fan would have been nice. Overall, I would book this again. We really enjoyed our time at this place. Enjoy!
