Fun bright apartment with beach access
The apartment was as described--very pretty, sleeping spots for six. The kitchen is very functionally laid out. The couple with two small kids took the bedroom, fitting the 7 month old's Pack N Play in the closet and their toddler on a folded up blanket on the floor at the foot of the bed. I took one of the bunks in the hall and my husband (who is 6'3 and too tall for a bunk) used the pullout twin under the couch in the living room. It was really cool to be able to go outside, walk down the wooden steps and be right on the beach. At night we waded with flashlights to see crabs--speckled, blue, and ghost crabs. My husband and I found and took a phone video of a little black swimming sea turtle, and my husband got a brief glimpse of a dolphin doing a barrel roll one day we were out swimming. The little patio was great for reading and listening to the ocean (we did turn off the living room air conditioner when sitting out there because otherwise the hot air vent is venting right on you). This was also a good view of the stars at night. Our only concern was some mildew. We went to the local dollar store for a fresh shower curtain liner and we cleaned the filters on the bedroom air conditioner. We also had a plumbing issue, and Dot was very responsive in getting a plumber in to fix it. Make sure you check out Sneaky Freaky Bakery while here--their eclairs and raspberry peach tarts are amazing!
