Perfect Mountain Cabin
My husband, our eight year old son and I stayed one night at the Miners' Inn for a quick weekend fall getaway. The cabin is conveniently located in town, in fact you are probably seeing the entire town when you relax at the picnic tables in the back yard. The cabin is well appointed with thoughtful provisions to make your stay comfortable. I appreciated Dawn's attention to the detail in the cabin. She did have "good" coffee available (Thank you!) along with organic half and half in the fridge. There was also stuff to make pasta/sauce for dinner and whole wheat pancake mix for breakfast in the pantry and organic butter and syrup for the pancakes in the fridge. There was a snack tray in the kitchen with organic, non-gmo treats. These are items I purchase for my own family, so I was pleased to see that it is obvious that Dawn takes pride in setting up the cabin for their guests. A few other thoughtful items available for guests were ice packs and a bag of ice in the freezer for day trips and a doggy dish for four legged friends. There was a comfortable roll-away bed for our son in the closet. It was cozy, but no one was stepping on each other moving around. There were a couple of beers (for the parents) and freshly made chocolate chip cookies waiting for us upon check-in. Kevin our Camp Host was there to greet us upon arrival. The backyard is right along the creek and it is incredibly peaceful to just hang out. I peeked out the window during the twilight hours and the stars were incredible. No city lights! This was a perfect cabin and I hope our family travels through Markleeville again sometime so we can have a return stay at the Miners Inn. Kevin and Dawn are genuine people and really take pride in their Mountain Cabin. Thank you for a great weekend! Pamela, Sean and Daniel - Folsom, CA
