We loved staying at this little house in the "country." It's quiet and close to one of the best grocery stores in the islands (Mana Foods!!!). The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked (the knives were sharp, extra blanket in the drawer) and the layout made the house feel spacious to the 3 adults staying there. Driving to Haleakala to watch the sunrise was a bit easier than driving from Kahalui (leave about 3:30 am). We were in Paia in August when the daytime temperature was in the upper 80's. There is 1 window A/C in the bedroom, which makes sleeping a bit more comfortable. There are also ceiling fans everywhere to help when there's no breeze, but it can still be a bit warm and sticky if you are not used to living in a home without central A/C. Also, expect to see some bugs as you're living in the country. Small spiders, flying roaches, etc. are likely to be experienced. We would stay at this place again. It was the perfect location for us!
