Great Cottage, Bad Waterfront
I rented this place with 2 other families for a week in July. I will share both the positives and negatives of this cottage. The good: The cottage is large, which made it very comfortable for our 3 families. It has 2 large yards for the kids to play in. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was clean. The sunsets were very pretty. The bad: We were extremely disappointed to find you cannot swim in the lake. The waterfront is very shallow and extremely weedy and there was an enormous amount of algae. None of us could go in the water - even our 3 and 4 year old kids wouldn't play on the beach near the water, which made it a challenge to entertain them all week. We had to pack up and take the kids to the beach in town, which sort of defeated the purpose of renting a cottage. If you don't swim, this is a great place to rent. If you want to swim, I wouldn't recommend renting on this lake.
