Fantastic Stay, Awesome Views
Coming from the dead of MN winters, our stay at Amy and Jamies was definitely what we needed. We have been to Napa and Sonoma a hand full of times but never Paso. This place was fantastic including the time of the year. First, our stay at Amy and Jamies was perfect. Immaculately clean, super comfy bed/linens, a bathroom and shower to die for, a Nespresso machine (we love our Nespresso), a few treats, and awesome views. At the most, we drove only 15 mins to the furthest winery we went to. My husband and I have stayed in multiple vacation rentals all around the US and for anyone going to the Paso region this should be on your hit list! As for the wineries in the area, we went to Tablas Creek, Halter Ranch, Calcareous, Caparone, Niner, Opolo, and Adelaida. All were great. One great piece of our trip was that we went in January. Since we drink a lot of wine, we wanted a time of the year where the wineries were not too busy and more attention was given at the tasting. January during the week was perfect. We ate Il Cortile (Italian Restaurant) and Amy and Jamie recommended McPhees in Templeton. The food was great and so was our hosts. Another place on your list should be Di Raimondos Cheese Shop and Deli. Their sea salt baguettes are to die for!! We landed in LA, called the bakery to hold us a baguette until we got there that afternoon. They go fast. Treat yourself to some bread, cheese, and salami and you have your self a perfect wine pairing lunch during your travels around the wineries. We will be back.... Thank you Amy and Jamie. Friends forever :) Lindsey and Jake
