Bad Experience from Start to End!!!
The stay at was not worth the money we paid. Here are just a few examples of the troubles we experienced during our 7-day vacation. • Upon arriving at the condo, we had to wait till almost 5pm to enter our condo. The information packet clearly stated that we would be able to enter after 4pm. Around 4:30, I entered the condo to see how much longer it was going to be and observed the housekeeper just sitting on the couch doing nothing. Very frustrating! • The same evening after returning from dinner, we tried to access the condo and key would not unlock the door. We called the owner and he literally blew us off giving a lecture on how to properly insert a key into a door knob and correctly open a door—very insulting!! Finally after our 3rd phone call to owner concerning the matter, he contacted the owners in the condo beside of us to come by and see if the door would really not open—I guess we were not trustworthy and he had to have a second opinion. Keep in mind, while all this is going on, our two kids are sitting a car for over 2 hours. Finally around 9:30 that evening, a handyman arrived and had to physically remove the door knob with a hammer. He eventually rigged the door to lock overnight till he could return the day to fix the problem. Maybe if the problem was taken serious when we first reported it to the owner and we were not lectured, the owner could have called the handyman much sooner and expedited the situation. • At least 3-4 nights during the stay, we noticed small roach like bugs crawling on our counter-tops and actually within the dishwasher. We continually wiped the counter-tops leaving no excess food lying around, but the bugs continued to come back. • We went without air conditioning for 7 hours one afternoon due to the unit freezing up during our stay. Overall, we were very disappointed in our stay as you can tell. We will again return but next summer it will be at another area.
