Deafening Highway Noise, no sound insulation, secondary bedroom stuffy closet
We had specifically asked in advance whether this unit faced the interstate and were told it had 'mountain views'. That's accurate insofar as Vail Valley is very narrow and it is surrounded on all sides by mountains. The one legal conforming bedroom with a King faced onto the highway with no other buildings in front; we were unable to sleep in there and swapped with the four year old kids for the twin beds in the non conforming windowless den which was stiflingly hot. On the positive side, very convenient to the gondola and the oven worked well. We were travelling with young children and needed to be able to prep food nightly. Kitchen was relatively understocked though; not a single pan had a cover so sauteeing food was challenging. We left one day prior to expiry of our rental as it was a bit of a sleep deprivation nightmare.
