A Great Condo
We recently stayed here from December 24-January 5th. This unit is very bright and colorful and nicely decorated. It has an open kitchen/living area and if you want to have guests over for dinner, you can put 6 at the dining room table, 3 on the kitchen counter and 4 on the lanai. We had 9 people one evening and we had all we needed. We really liked it that we got several rolls of paper towels, garbage bags, dishwasher liquid and other items. Very nicely equipped with tervis tumblers, great pots and pans, utensils, etc. There is a grill but we didn't use it. We asked for beach chairs and they opened an outside storage area with beach chairs and boogie boards. We really didn't need anything except for bathroom items-shampoo, etc. This is a corner unit so I think it may be a little bigger. The lanai looks out over the golf course ( closed for renovations) and in the distance you can see the ocean. The only downside for us ( a little on the older side and both female) were the 30 stairs to get to the unit. With 50 lb. suitcases, and trips back with cases of water, etc. this was a little difficult but we managed. Although it is not air-conditioned, there is a good airflow and we slept well. We never learn our lesson about Hawaii and we have been there 5 times. You only need casual wear. We brought capris and didn't wear them. If you want to go out to a nice restaurant like Roy's, I might wear capris, but for the most part shorts, bathing suits and tops are all you need. Also, there is washer and dryer, so next time we will pack very lightly. We would recommend taking a trip to Hawi and grab a bite at Bamboo, also take a trip to Waimea and eat at Merriman's, and we like Roy's in the King's Shops at Waikoloa. The King's Shops also has a calendar of events, petroglyph walks, music. If you want to see a neat resort ( trams, boats, restaurants, artifacts) take a trip to the Hilton at Waikola Beach Resort. Our favorite beach is Waialea just past Waikola Beach Resort---great snorkeling and calm surf.
