Wonderful Home and Perfect Portland Location
First of all Elliott was a great host... very helpful, answered all of our questions and provided tips on where to eat in the area. The house was unique, gorgeous and the perfect size for my wife, nine year old, and my parents. Plenty of room to spend time together or get away and read. Every day began and ended on the back patio gazing out at the picturesque Portland skyline... The location is perfect to take advantage of everything downtown Portland has to offer... food, beer and shopping. We either walked or took a short tram ride everywhere we went. I would not hesitate to book Elliott's home again... the one and ONLY drawback was that there was no AC (as I'm sure most of the homes in the area do not have either). We unfortunately stayed in Portland on three of the hottest days of the year and the upstairs of the home (where we stayed) got uncomfortable during hotter spells of the day (low 100s). As I said it was an extreme heat wave at the time and not something we would have experienced if our dates would have been slightly different. Elliott also warned us that this might be an issue and suggested ways to help keep the house cool. ... But overall this was an amazing place to stay, ideally located if you want the Portland experience and I would gladly stay there again (maybe just not during a state-wide extreme heatwave).
