Nice but there are much better alternatives
We rented this, along with three other houses in Dry Creek, for out of town guests in Fall 2011. It was the most expensive of the rentals and certainly a disappointment. The house, and grounds are nice. There are little signs in each room of dos and don'ts (no big deal, just a little odd since there were so many of them. If I was renting my house I'd probably do the same thing!). This was the only house that required that the deposit be a cashiers check for anyone renting the house requiring a trip to the bank - so I guess the owners are quite concerned about something. There are numerous little issues with the rental, and nothing really to recommend it over the other places to rent in the Valley. For instance, the instructions were to keep the keys for the spa in the gardener shed - on the first day the gardener came and locked them in the shed. We visited the property management office the next day (don't even try to call them as they don't seem to check voice mail) and they were puzzled but eventually called someone to go out and unlock them. We used the pool once. Like many of the lights in the house lights for the pool area didn't seem to work so after five minutes we decided it was too dangerous to use. All the other houses we rented were set up much better, everything was working, they were at least as nice, and were much less expensive. Summary - the house looks nice, the pool is nice, but there are better options.
