Gorgeous home, close to everything!
My husband, 2 toddler sons and myself stayed at Susie's home for an 8 night stay-cation while we had work done on our home. We could not have been happier. The location is obviously unbeatable - you are 2 blocks from Moonlight Beach and a couple blocks from Highway 101 which is where all the restaurants, bars and shops are. You are 2 blocks from Whole Foods for all your shopping needs. The house itself is a gem! It's so fashionably appointed - like a show home with cool design elements, but also welcoming and comfortable. With a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old, you worry about accidentally spilling or damaging something - I did not feel nervous about that here. You can open all the windows and let the breeze come through (love the kitchen sink window that slides up like a garage door creating a pass-through bar for the deck.) The kitchen has everything you need. She's provided extra toilet paper and supplies. TV, wifi, bluetooth speaker. Grill, fire pit. The beds were comfy (king and queen size I think), the shower was nice (plus outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach). All towels, beach towels and sheets provided and nice quality too. You truly feel like you are staying in someone's very nice home - and she left the good stuff for you to enjoy! Washer and dryer in the garage. Loved the hammock, chairs, and twinkly lights in the front yard. Backyard was great for my boys who love to dig in the sand/gravel with their construction trucks. While the house was not "child-proofed" we found it safe for the kids. Just note - the sliding screen door to deck does not lock. So it was a little challenging to keep our crawler from opening it and getting out onto the deck which has stairs. You can just close the slider, but then you miss out on the breeze to keep the house cool. The house does not have AC as is common for coastal homes. There was a ceiling fan in one bedroom. We brought an additional fan from home which helped to cool the main room and the 2nd bedroom at night. We stayed in early August and the weather was hot. I don't think this would always be necessary, depending on the time of year you visit. Lastly, Susie was a pleasure to deal with - so easy going, friendly and accommodating. She has created a little slice of heaven and kindly shares it with lucky strangers like us. We enjoyed our stay so much, both the house and the area. We cannot wait to stay again! Thank you, Susie!
