WOW! Most amazing place we have ever stayed!
Wow! This home was literally the nicest, most beautiful place I have ever stayed! The home was stunning and huge, and we loved everything about our stay except the fact that we only booked two days! If I could do it over, I would have stayed a whole week! There was so much to do and enjoy there, and I would have really enjoyed more time! This beautiful home is owned by Scott and Belinda, a very sweet and kind couple. I stayed there with my husband, our two boys (5 & 8 years old), my husband's parents, and their dog. Scott and Belinda welcomed all of us into their home and were so patient and friendly even when our kids were running around the house and making noise. The home is setup so the owners have some private space, the renters have some private space, and there is shared space (kitchen and dining area). We were absolutely amazed by how much of the space we got! We are used to being crammed into small hotel rooms, but we each (my family and my husband's parents) had a large room with a big closet and our own big bathroom. The guest area also had a living room area and a huge downstairs game/entertainment/exercise room with a pool table, foosball table, poker table, TV, games, puzzles, and exercise equipment. We also had a porch area with a large spa. We loved the beautiful, huge kitchen, and enjoyed being able to cook our meals there instead of eating out every night like we do at hotels. The home is also on 10 beautiful, quiet, private acres of forested land. My boys loved hiking around and exploring outside! There were several small streams, and a larger creek to play at, and it was so quiet there you could hear the lovely sound of the creek and the wind through the trees. We booked our stay hoping for a mountain getaway to play in the snow. It happened to warm up the week before our stay, and the elevation there of about 4,500 didn't stay cold enough to keep all the snow right around the house. We still had fun exploring and finding the patches that were left around the property though. Scott and Belinda knew we wanted to play in snow, so they printed us up a flyer for a local "Sledding Days" event that was happening at the Johnsonville Ski Hill that was just a short 15 minute drive away. We drove over there and had a fabulous time sledding and playing in the snow. It was just perfect! We are so happy we chose to rent this lovely home, and hope we will have an opportunity to come say here again in the future!
