MORE THAN ADEQUATE SHORE VACATION UNIT
The owners were very accommodating when our initial week of vaca was waylaid by Hurricane Matthew in October '16. No problem with return of all funds paid. We booked a week in March "17 in a sister unit just purchased by the same couple but were notified not too long before heading south that the unit would be undergoing additional renovations & thus not available for occupancy. We then suggested we take the following week in the original unit and subsequently got to MB. Not sure if our paperwork or the unit's description indicated that the pool was closed but we were disappointed that we could not enter the area even to take advantage of the meager sunshine afforded us during our stay. Please note that this is far from a luxury unit but was adequate for our stay. Pros Good Pre-trip info & easy access into the unit. Located only a short 3 minute drive to The Market Common. W&D on premises-cuts down on wardrobe needed during stay. Easy operation of both TV's. Comfortable king size bed. Plenty of hot water for bathing. All appliances worked well. Heating system worked fine; never utilized a/c unit. Very short 1.5 block walk to beach. Relatively quiet area except for the air traffic at night. Cons Penetrating security lights shine directly into BR at night-suggest some type of darkening shade. No beach chairs provided. As you can see, the Pros far outnumber the Cons. Again, this is not a luxury unit but the combination of plusses makes it an enjoyable place to stay. The most important attribute of the rental was dealing with the owners. They could not have been more cooperative. Rest assured these are quality owners. We hope to book this same unit in the near future. Thanks Bill & Sarah.
