Great Location, beutiful beach
We were in Imperial Beach for a month starting Feb 25, 2017. The condo is large with 2 large bedrooms upstairs, kitchen, living room and 1/2 bathroom on main floor. Kitchen has a large fridge, gas/electric stove and micro wave. There is an entertainment unit in the front room and your own private garage with door opener down stairs. While we were there, an outside water pipe burst and we were without water for 24 hours. Otherwise our stay was uneventful. While the condo is large, it is in need of some updating. The bathroom has shower doors which are corroded and mouldy. Rugs need a good shampooing and in general the unit needs updating. While previous tenants are generous leaving extra food, condiments etc., someone needs to go in and empty outdated items on a regular basis. Pots and pans and cutlery should also be updated. The condo is well priced, but could use some TLC. Imperial Beach is a wonderful little community. The beach is beautiful, endless and well maintained. Local merchants are very friendly and helpful. One downside is that the beach is a favorite destination for motorcycle riders of the worst kind. Harleys with no mufflers that the riders love to rev regardless of the time of day. The speed limit in community is 25 mph whereas riders ride at 2 or 3 times that speed with impunity. While all this makes it sound like we didn't have a good time, that is not the case. We took several side trips into San Diego and the surrounding area and had a wonderful time Even took in a World Baseball Classic game at the Petco Stadium.
