House was good but contract over done
First off the house was nice--very bright, modern and well done. Kitchen was also well stocked with cooking utensils, etc. The backyard is still being done so there were unfinished areas and some gardening equipment out. What was odd was the complexity of the contract and deposit. We paid via PayPal including a standard deposit but owner still wanted a credit card on file for damages. Uhm, that's the point of a security deposit! I've rented houses around the world and never had that request before. Had it not been a last minute rental in June we would have walked away. In the end we got the deposit back in full but be prepared to sign off on quite a few items and promise not to ruin their (apparently precious but not that spectacular) linens.
