No Spa, Sauna or Laundry in the complex...
The proximity to Canyon Lodge was great. We were able to walk back and forth easily. The Gondola takes you to the Village where there’s plenty of places to eat, Starbucks etc and a small grocery/general store with good wine selection. Both master bedrooms are on the bottom/entry floor, the living room, kitchen and a full bath are on the 2nd floor and the loft is on the 3rd floor. If you have small children that you are planning on sleeping in the loft, know that you will be 2 floors down from them. We ended up needing to have an adult sleep up in the loft with the kids each night. Pots and pans were an issue. It took about 30 minutes for us to fry an egg because the pan bottoms were not flat which doesn’t work on a flat electric stovetop. I would recommend bringing your own frypan if that’s an option for you. Spa, sauna and laundry are NOT OPERATIONAL in this complex. When we arrived, we were told that they had been under construction for months. We were given a key to use the laundry and spa at a neighboring complex. The distance and weather made all of these features unusable to us. We didn’t want to have to walk in the cold back to the condo after using the spa nor did we want to go back and forth carrying laundry down the street in the snow and cold. Had we known that the spa and laundry were not in the same building, we would have booked another property. All in all we had a great trip to Mammoth with great friends but it should definitely have been stated that the spa, sauna and laundry were not in our building.
