Felt like home, but in Beaufort!
This house is charming and had a very homey feel to it. It reminded my husband of his grandmother's house (but updated, lol). It had all the comforts of home and a perfect location. It was really just two blocks to all the action in Beaufort. The library is on the next block over and all of the neighbors seem nice. We loved having a house to ourselves with our two little kinds. If they are loud, cry, etc, they wouldn't be a bother to neighboring rooms, in addition, we had more space than would be offered in a hotel room, so that helped us to relax and not feel cramped. The porch was also a favorite place to sit back and watch the passersby. There was construction happening on a house next door, but we woke up before it started, and spent the day out, so it never bothered us. We enjoyed the restaurants, a carriage ride, walking along the river and taking the kids to the park. We also drove to Port Royal and Hunting Island. Hunting Island was absolutely breathtaking. It feels like a beach in Costa Rica as the lush, tropical-like forest goes right to the beach. This state park is a total gem to SC. The house was clean, comfortable, in a wonderful location. The owners were super nice and friendly, too. It was a fantastic stay. We are hoping to come back to Beaufort and stay in this house again!
