Comfortable, Cozy, and Clean
This cute little cottage is just steps away from Beverly Beach. Walk across the road and down a flight of stairs and you are met with a peaceful and picturesque beach littered with shells and beautiful rounded rocks. The cottage is well-appointed -- everything you need in the kitchen, extra linens, and even a washer/dryer available (though I didn't use it). The cottage is situated among trees, and rabbits, squirrels, and hummingbirds can be seen from the cozy covered porch. The living area has a gas standing fireplace/stove to take off the morning chill and provide "ambiance". The cottage has one bedroom with a king-sized bed and a small day bed. A futon in the living room can be used for additional sleeping. The lovely town of Langley is an easy and direct 10 minute drive. The cottage is located 4 miles from "downtown" Freeland. This cottage is a great alternative to staying in Freeland's "Harbor Inn" (which isn't on a harbor or beach and is not an Inn ;)). The cottage is comparable in price with many more amenities, privacy, and unbeatable sunrises and sunsets on the beach. The owner was very easy to work with. I was on the island to attend a workshop offered by a local glass artist (Richard La Londe). The cottage was less than 5 minutes from his studio. If my travels bring me back to Whidbey Island, I will definitely stay at the cottage again.
