No Contact from the Owner to get into room.
We received an email from the owner the day we booked it stating that she would contact us with the particulars of how to get in prior to our arrival. We never got an email from the owner at all, so we decided to drive up to the property on our own and eventually we would hear from her. She didn't leave any phone # nor email of how to reach her. So once I arrived, I emailed thru the HomeAway email service and to this day have never received any communication whatsoever. No info, no apologies, seriously nothing at all. I looked up the property on another website which had a phone number and I got a hold of the person that watches the property during the weekdays while the owner is gone. It was a weekend, so I don't know what happened to her. I still think it is strange that the owner till this day still has NOT contacted me after sending a few emails, to at least see if we made it into the room or to see if our stay was a good one, etc., etc. If you are going to rent on HomeAway, the First thing you should remember is to make sure your customers are let into the properties. Secondly, at least pretend they exist. It would be a great start!
