Nice property (w/ a few caveats). Responsive, caring customer service lacking...
The condo is nice w/ gorgeous views. The view was a favorite thing as my husband & I sat by the window most afternoons gazing at the cascade of sail boats seeming to do a ballet, & the other various watercraft from the ferry port going to & from the wonderful Toronto Islands (Wards Island and The Rectory Restaurant are the best! Plus you can get to Wards Beach & walk to Centre Island on the boardwalk from there.) We rented bikes from "Wheel Excitement" located past the Radisson Hotel. They were responsive/nice. The location of the property is pretty convenient & you can walk to a lot of places if you're fit, as we are. In fact, walking and bicycling seem to be a way of life, but having a car was nice if you want to visit outside of Toronto, like the beautiful Muskokas where we had the best dinner at "Riverwalk Restaurant". We took the bus to Stratford to see MacBeth. We ate at "The Parlour Steakhouse". The walk from there to the Festival Theater was most pleasant and we stopped to take pictures of the famous swans. We also took the car one day to The Beaches neighborhood and dined at "Tender Loving" which was a nice experience. The dining at CN Tower is also worth a mention, although very crowded. All in all we had a great time & the weather was amazing. Just a note of caution though - the management of the condo was happy to take our money, but they weren't very responsive to our needs. It was like we were an annoyance. They seem to be of the attitude that they're not in the hospitality business when they actually ARE in that business. They sent an app that we couldn't use & we asked for email information which wasn't forthcoming. Lights were out in both showers, another bulb was missing from the King suite & there's no perch for your soap/shampoo in either shower. The bathtub is on the ridiculous side for too many reasons to list. The VRBO page lists 3 bathrooms. There's 2. Housekeeping didn't have but 4 ice cubes on hand, we had to make our own & we walked into a property that was 80 degrees. This, after a long, arduous journey from Texas, wasn't welcomed. A thoughtful owner would have the place at a comfortable level upon a guest's arrival. The parking garage is not up to code by US standards. We could finally use the pool on day 4, sneaking out the contractor's door as others did. & we had the feeling that the *condos proper* don't like owners renting out their property. We appreciated the TV had a PVR, remote was spotty though.
