The cabin is comfy, but it is hard to rent.
We enjoyed our stay in the cabin for the most part which is clean and pretty comfortable. A bit of highway noise when outside, but not that bad. Kitchen could be a little better stocked, but it has the basics. I have to say though that despite paying for the cabin two weeks in advance and sending an email asking for check-in details several days in advance, communication from the owner was poor. I did not find out details of getting into the cabin until a few hours before check-in and then could not reach the owner for further questions. This made the rest of our travels difficult. Once payment clears, why not just send check-in details to renters and then an email to see if they have any other questions? Some wifi would be nice, but it was also good to be away from electronics for a few days. If you come for a long stay, bring plenty of clean clothes as the washer and dryer are off limits to guests.' Finally, though hardly the owner's fault, Packwood has become pretty dumpy. The local grocery was better stocked than I thought it would be though. Decent restaurants are non-existant.
