A little slice of Heaven...
OH! MY! GAWD! I have a smile from ear to ear to ear! ? I cannot begin to express how much my friend and I just love, Love, but LOVED your place in Vermont! Everything but everything about it is perfect! It’s so charming! I was able to de-stress, decompress from the stress of life back in Montreal and reconnect with myself. We weren’t able to get the tv going but that was a blessing in disguise b/c your collection of music is superb!!! Divine! And your collection of books, so interesting! Voltaire? WOW! And so beautifully decorated. So warm. So inviting. So so so so very charming! We weren’t really sure how the gas fireplace works as we have just good ol’ electric baseboards back home. That’s in fact our only comment. If only we had better instructions as to what we need to do with a gas heater. Do we turn it off when we leave? Does it go on and off automatically? Just silly little things like that… I was a little paranoid that we were going to blow up the place… We are so unfamiliar with gas heating, gas appliances… My friend was so taken with your book about the history of the place that she was up until 5 am Saturday morning, just reading and enjoying your space Ooh, actually I do have one more suggestion if I may. Parts of the driveway gets a lot of sun so the snow melts and when it gets cold, it freezes up again so it becomes a slippery icy slope. If there was a bucket of sand, gravel or something that we could used to sprinkle on the ice it would have saved us some nasty spills My friend is an interior decorator so don’t be surprised if you find some of your stuff rearranged on the shelves and stuff. She likes her space just so… I hope that’s okay. Well done! We’ll be back. In fact, I am working on getting hubby up there for a romantic weekend getaway…. Thank you again! Maria
