Great cabin with all the amenities, although some didn't quite work
The house itself is rustic and clean, although we weren't sure how often they vacuumed the floor as our toddler kept picking up small items off the carpet the minute we got there. KITCHEN: The kitchen is fully stocked with all the supplies you need, which made it wonderful to prepare a BBQ meal (cookies sheets for roasting veggies, salad spinner, pitcher for sangria...). Dish soap and laundry soap was provided however there was no kitchen sponge nor dishwasher detergent and only one paper towel ream so bring your own. BATHROOMS: Main floor has a full bath (shower tub and toilet), upstairs had a half bath (toilet only) and downstairs in the cold basement had the other full bath (Shower tub and toilet). One extra roll of toilet paper was supplied for each bathroom so if you're going to stay more than two days bring some to spare. There was enough bath towels for all 12 of us to have 2 or more. GAME ROOM: The game room downstairs was fun, although it was freezing down there. All the table games (foozball, pool table, air hockey, and ping pong) seemed to work and there were board games, cards, and dominoes and another TV complete with 2 couches downstairs. We tried using one of the heat lamps/fans but it buzzed every so often so we thought it would cause a fire and just used our jackets. We hooked up our own XBOX to the TV downstairs and played with the disco lights on. HOT TUB: The hot tub was lukewarm and we wouldn't get it to get any hotter so nobody used it. MAIN TV: We couldn't get the DVD player or the Netflix to work. Good thing we had a very patient person with us who decided they would dive in and see what the issue was, only to find out someone had messed with the wiring in the back (we could get audio but no visual) and had unplugged all the visual plug-ins. Being a home theater system, the wiring back there was quite the jungle but she figured it out after about 40 minutes and we were able to watch some DVDs that they supplied (which had quite a few nice DVDs that were so dated). We still couldn't get the Netflix to work, no matter how many people followed the instructions listed on the wall so we mainly watched the Olympics. XBOX: There was only one working controller for the XBOX, good thing we had someone in our group bring more from home otherwise, the XBOX wasn't good for groups on it's own. BEDS: The queen size beds beds upstairs were uncomfortable and need replacing. Other than the feedback above, the place is a fun.
