Not the relaxing couple of days that I was looking forward to!!! Very Disappointed!!
We were told there was a 2 car garage. when we arrived there was only a 1 car garage available (the owner was staying upstairs and took the 2 car garage. Even though it was in my contract. The one car garage might fit a fiat. I called the management company and they told me I would just have to "find" some parking. I ended up having to pay $75 to park my car during my stay and it was about 2 miles away so we were not able to use the vehicle at all while we were there! After the hour and a half parking debacle I went to cut up the food that we had just bought for our trip and there was not a knife in the entire kitchen. The only items in the kitchen were eating utensils, glasses, a cpl stove top pans and plates. We had to eat out that night which we were not planning on spending the money on since we just purchased all our food for our stay. I did call mission sands with my list of about 20 necessary items that the kitchen needed that they did not have. They did go and purchase the items and bring them later that day to their credit. However I then had to clean them all and put everything away. During the stay no less than 5 times did workers come to the house to fix things that they wanted to finish up from the remodel. Which meant we would have to leave the beach and come let them in and sit while they were working since all our belongings were in the house. Washer and dryer were listed in amenities, however they were broken so we were not able to do the laundry that we had planned. When I went to turn on the oven the entire place filled with a terrible gas smell!! it was a nightmare! While we were trying to pack-up to leave I had workers come once again, they asked to do some painting and they came to deliver a new washer and dryer!! These are not things that should be going on while renters are in the property!!! Getting hit in the head by falling cabinet doors and having blinds falling on you are not okay. I understand they just finished the remodel, but it was no where close to being ready to be rented and I paid the price for that!! I talked with the rental company, Mission Sands and after me being very persistent they offered me $300 off my stay. What an insult. I had to spend and extra $75 on parking and $140 for dinner…$215 was spent by me because the rental did not have the contract parking or basic kitchen items. Not to mention ALL of the other problems we had to deal with!
